What Exactly Is the ZT-A91?

The ZT-A91 is a universal 1DIN multimedia head unit that replaces the factory radio with a 9-inch QLED 2K-class touch screen running full Android 14. It measures just one DIN deep — an ultra-thin chassis that matters in vehicles where a double-DIN unit simply cannot be fitted without cutting into the dashboard structure.

“Universal” here is a starting point, not a compromise. The platform ships universal, and ZESTECH adds vehicle-specific frame panels and dedicated CANbus wiring for the models that actually sell in your market — so the unit installs cleanly, keeps the steering-wheel controls and does not turn into an installation argument at the shop counter.

There is a second reason this unit is different from the Android head units you may already stock: it is the model in our range where the 360° panoramic system is engineered in from the start, not bolted on afterwards as a third-party accessory. Camera inputs, image stitching and the on-screen control layer are all part of the platform.

The 360° Panoramic System: What It Actually Adds

A panoramic system is only worth the installation if the picture arrives fast and the seams are invisible. The ZESTECH surround-view platform is built around four 1-megapixel cameras and a mature image mosaic and correction algorithm — the same correction pipeline we use in our commercial-vehicle programmes.

What the driver sees

• ✓3D and 2D panoramic views — a floating 3D model of the car that the driver can rotate, plus a flat top-down view for tight manoeuvres
• ✓Front and rear width-limit screens — the two views that actually save a bumper when threading a narrow gate or a tight parking bay
• ✓Transparent chassis view — the underside of the vehicle rendered as if the floor were glass, for kerbs and speed bumps
• ✓Individual camera feeds with automatic switching tied to the turn signal and reverse gear
• ✓Dedicated front, rear, left and right views on demand, without leaving the driving screen

Why it matters commercially

Surround view is the function that changes what customers say about you after the sale. Beyond the obvious — fewer reversing claims — the platform extends into blind-spot detection, lane-departure warnings and moving-object detection, all of which let you position the same hardware as a safety product rather than a screen upgrade. Units that sell as safety products hold their price; units that sell as screens do not.

For fleets, vans and commercial vehicles the practical benefit is different: a four-camera record of every manoeuvre is the cheapest insurance policy a fleet operator can buy, and it costs nothing extra once the panoramic system is already installed.

There is an app layer too

ZESTECH’s patented Car-Smart X application extends the panoramic hardware onto the driver’s phone. The vehicle’s cameras, position history and remote-control functions are available remotely — the driver can see the last parking position, check the surroundings of the vehicle from indoors, and review the recorded views without sitting in the car.

Sound and Connectivity

Four-camera safety is a strong story — but the sound is what customers notice on the test drive, and it is usually what closes the sale when two competing units are sitting side by side in the shop.

The audio chain is deliberately over-specified for a unit at this level: a DSP stage with a 32-bit equaliser feeds an amplifier that can be built on the TDA7388, TDA7851 or TDA7850, depending on the configuration you order. Matched with the DTS-capable sound processing on the platform, the result is the depth and headroom that aftermarket buyers expect — and that factory radios at this price point rarely deliver.

On the connectivity side, phone integration is the function that generates the fewest support calls per unit sold, so it is worth being precise about: the ZT-A91 supports both wired and wireless CarPlay, and both wired and wireless Android Auto, with Bluetooth 5.2 for hands-free calling and audio streaming.
